Sophia Iaukea
Sophia Iaukea, 69, of Pahoa, died Aug. 11, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Oct. 4, 1948, in Hoolehua, Molokai, she was retired from Hawaii County Office of Aging and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and Akaka Falls Lions Club.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Aug. 20, 2018 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Cremation to follow. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by children, Stuart (Jennifer) Iaukea of North Carolina, Matthew (Tina) Iaukea of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Davida (Anton) Iaukea-Adams of Hilo, Mike (Enola) Iaukea of California, Michealene (Elton) Iaukea-Lum of Pahoa; brothers, Carlos (Carolyn) Canubida of Pearl City, Oahu, Victor (Nancy) Canubida of Ewa, Oahu; sister, Teresita (David) Bliss of California; 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Constantino Salvador, Sr.
Constantino Salvador, Sr., of Kapaau, died July 12, 2018. Born in Kohala on July 24, 1931, he worked as a cook.
He is survived by sons Ned Salvador of Kohala; Constantino (Sue) Salvador, Jr. of Kohala; George (Michelle) Salvador of Kauai; daughters Beverly (Simeon) Sol of Kohala; Juliette (Paul) Ishikuro of Kohala; Joleen (Harold) Perez of Kohala; brothers Bartolome Salvador of Waianae, Oahu; Roger Salvador of Appleton, Wisconsin; sisters Florence Arceo of Rancho Cucamunga, California; Mary Ann Guterries of Kohala; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous hanai sons, daughters, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi on Aug. 25, 2018, with visitation 8-10 a.m. and Mass to follow.
